Dear Zhenyu Ye, The reviewing process of ICDSC 2011 for Phd forum and demo papers is over. I’m happy to inform you that your paper PhD forum: A Cyber-Physical System Approach To Embedded Visual Servoing has been accepted for presentation at ICDSC 2011. Congratulations! One important remark is that, if you haven't done yet, you should clarify whether your submission is intended for Phd forum or for demo. In some cases, this is not completely clear, as also pointed out by the reviewers. The reviewers’ comments can be found below. You must upload the camera ready version of your paper before July 15. By the same date, and in general as soon as possible, it is very important to confirm your participation to the conference by registering for the conference, otherwise the paper will be discarded from the conference proceedings. Looking forward to see you in Ghent! Do I understand correctly that Fig 1 is a traditional approach and a cyber-physical approach will completely improve the approach? It is still not completely clear to me after reading the submission. Maybe you need to give more hints about the cyber-physical approach instead of only mentioning that it focusses on the challenges well and a reference. there are some typos in the abstract and paper that need t be looked into: use cyber-physical ---> use a cyber-physical in one of our case study --> in one of our case studies of time-predictable ---> of a time-predictable etc. The color scale of Fig 5 is not really getting good in gray scale. Please make it gray scale. ----------------------- REVIEW 2 --------------------- PAPER: 82 TITLE: PhD forum: A Cyber-Physical System Approach To Embedded Visual Servoing AUTHORS: Zhenyu Ye, Henk Corporaal and Pieter Jonker OVERALL RATING: 1 (weak accept) TECHNICAL CORRECTNESS: from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest): 4 (good) NOVELTY / ORIGINALITY: from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest): 4 (good) REFERENCE TO PRIOR WORK: from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest): 4 (good) QUALITY OF EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS: from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest): 3 (fair) IMPORTANCE TO THE FIELD: from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest): 3 (fair) ORGANIZATION AND CLARITY: from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest): 3 (fair) SUITABLE FOR THE SPECIAL ISSUE ON ACM TOSN: 3 (Borderline) I'm not an expert, but this topic seems to me a little bit off-topic for ICDSC. I'm not saying that correct design methodologies are not important, but they are more typical in other communities. However, the contribution seems interesting and can result in fruitful discussion at the PhD forum.
